Mizoram Rural Bank (MRB) is aRegional Rural Bank inMizoram sponsored byState Bank of India. It is under theownership ofMinistry of Finance,Government of India.[1]
It was established on 27 September 1983[2] under the Regional Rural Bank Act, 1976[3] and is the only Bank having presence in all districts ofMizoram.[4] Mizoram Rural Bank started usingcore banking only in February 2011.
Mizoram Rural bank has 105 branches, covering all the 11 districts and 26 RD blocks.[5] The Bank is headquartered inAizawl.
