TheMitsubishi Concept-RA is aconcept car manufactured byMitsubishi Motors, and first revealed on at theNorth American International Auto Show in January 2008.[1] Although there has been no official confirmation, the automotive press has speculated that this prototype presages the next generation of theMitsubishi Eclipse.[2][3][4]
The car has analuminiumspace framechassis, and features a4N14 2.2-litreclean diesel producing 150 kW (204 PS; 201 hp) and 420 N⋅m (310 lbf⋅ft), powering all four wheels through the company'sS-AWC drivetrain andSSTtwin-clutch transmission. Following the lead of other recent Mitsubishi prototypes, "green plastic" recyclableresin is used extensively in thebody panels and interior for environmental reasons.[1]
