Miroslav Tanjga (Serbian Cyrillic:Мирослав Тањга; born 22 July 1964) is a Serbian formerfootballer who played as adefender.[1] He is in the current head coach ofVojvodina.
Tanjga was in born inVinkovci,SR Croatia, and grew up in the village ofStari Jankovci. After playing in theYugoslav First League with several clubs,Dinamo Vinkovci,Vojvodina andRed Star Belgrade, he moved to first to Turkey, toFenerbahçe, then to Germany in 1992, and played there the rest of his career, having representedHertha BSC andMainz 05.
A longtime friend ofSiniša Mihajlović from his playing days atVojvodina, Tanjga returned to work alongside him in 2012 as his assistant for theSerbia national football team.[2]
He re-joined forces with Mihajlović atTorino in 2016,[2] and then followed him also atBologna in 2019.
Tanjga took over the sidelines from Mihajlović on 11 April as a result of Mihajlović getting treatment for Leukemia.Bologna beatSampdoria 2-0 in Tanjga's first match as temporary manager.
3 March 2025, he became the manager ofVojvodina.[3]
His sonSiniša is a professional footballer that playing for father's former clubVojvodina.[4]
