Miroslav Buljan (born 18 December 1955) is a Croatian retired professionalfootballmanager and former player. He particularly managed various Croatian clubs in the1.HNL,2.HNL, and3.HNL, as well asŠiroki Brijeg in theBosnian Premier League.
Born inSlavonski Brod,SFR Yugoslavia, present dayCroatia, Buljan began playingfootball in the youth levels of hometown clubMarsonia in 1964. In 1974, he joined the youth team ofDinamo Zagreb,[1] but a year later, in 1975, he signed his first professional contract with Marsonia, and played at the club until 1983.[2]
During his tenure as a player withMarsonia, Buljan managed to achieve aUEFA coaching license, and received his first coaching experience in 1996 with Marsonia in the1. HNL.[3] Following the relegation of Marsonia he remained in the top tier after managingSlaven Belupo in 1997.[4] In 1999, Buljan went to Bosnia and Herzegovina t0 manageŠiroki Brijeg.[5]
After two seasons at Šrioki Brijeg, he returned to Croatia where he had several managerial stints in the3. HNL withSloga,Karlovac, andOgulin.[6][7][8] In 2006, Buljan began managing in the2. HNL withBelišće, and withKoprivnica in 2007.[9][10] He went abroad once more in 2008 to theCanadian Soccer League to manageToronto Croatia.[11][12][13] In 2010, he returned to the 2. HNL where he managedMV Croatia.[14][15] Buljan was appointed manager in 2011 ofKing Faisal Babes in theGhanaian Premier League.[16] After a season in Africa, he returned to MV Croatia and managed the club in 2012.[17]
