TheMirae Party (Korean: 미래당;Hanja: 未來黨;RR: Miraedang;lit. Future Party) is a youth-oriented political party centered on the rising generation ofSouth Korea.[3] They criticize the nation's major political parties for not properly representing the voices of young people, citingyouth politics as their main ideology.[4]
The party initially used the nameOur Future (Korean: 우리미래;Hanja: 우리未來;RR: Urimirae), but changed it to its current name on 17 February 2020.[5]

The party is putting forward "living politics" for women and young people and calling for active improvement in the educational and labor environment of young people, as well as ensuring the youth's "right to play".[6] The party also calls for grantingvoting rights from the age of 16, andpassive suffrage from the age of 20.[2] In addition, Mirae Party is active in promotingLGBT rights.[7]
Our Future has exchanged with Taiwan'sNew Power Party on various political issues, including youth issues.[8]
심상정 후보는 "제3지대가 제대로 결집한다면, 국민들의 선택이 전략적으로 바뀔 것"이라며, 녹색당·미래당 등진보 정당과의 연정 가능성도 시사했다.
