TheMinister of State for Health is a mid-level position in theDepartment of Health and Social Care in theBritish government. The position is currently held byKarin SmythMP since 8 July 2024. The minister often deputises for theSecretary of State for Health and Social Care alongside theMinister of State for Social Care.[1]

The role was part of theDepartment for Health and Social Security under theSecretary of State for Social Services until 1988.[2]
