Military ranks of Libya

TheMilitary ranks of Libya are the military insignia used by theLibyan Armed Forces. The rank insignia was inspired by the armed forces of theUnited Kingdom, which trained the forces of theKingdom of Libya during itsAllied occupation up until independence.[1] In 2016, the rank ofField marshal (Arabic:مشير,romanizedMushir) was instituted and awarded toKhalifa Haftar.[2]
