Jan Michael Silverio Tan (born December 31, 1986), is a Filipino actor, dancer, and model. He became famous after winning in the second batch of the reality showStarStruck aired onGMA Network. He is currently an exclusive talent ofGMA Network,[1]Sparkle GMA Artist Center[2] andGMA Pictures.[3]
Tan is of Chinese descent.[4] He was baptized on July 31, 2016, as a Born Again Christian.[5]
He played the role of Rick in the installment ofSine NovelaMaging Akin Ka Lamang aired onGMA Network. Also, he had a special appearance on GMA Telebabad showsBabangon Ako't Dudurugin Kita which is the last program on GMA Network that he appeared.
There have been rumors of Mike transferring toABS-CBN, but he has confirmed in a recent interview that he will remain with GMA.[6] He also had his first religious television movie "Tanikala: Ang Ikalawang Libro" with co-star and former StarStruck AlumniSheena Halili, and co-produced with CBN Asia, Inc., which was recently shown on GMA 7 during Holy Week 2010.
He recently appeared into a remake ofTrudis Liit a final special offering ofSine Novela drama anthology where he played one of the series regular. Then he joined the cast ofCaptain Barbell: Ang Pagbabalikthe sequel of 2006 series. Mike starred again into the upcoming TV seriesKung Aagawin Mo ang Langit oppositeCarla Abellana as the show's leading man. After the show's success, he starred in his first prime time series as part of the main cast,Legacy withHeart Evangelista,Lovi Poe,Alessandra de Rossi,Geoff Eigenmann andSid Lucero. Right afterLegacy, Mike came back in daytime soap viaFaithfully as the lead man ofMaxene Magalona.
