Michael Raphael Holmes (born November 18, 1950) is an American former professionalfootball player who was asafety andwide receiver in theNational Football League (NFL),Canadian Football League (CFL), andUnited States Football League (USFL).
Holmes started his career in the NFL, playing three seasons, mainly for theSan Francisco 49ers. He then went to the CFL where he played six seasons for theWinnipeg Blue Bombers. He was aCFL All Star in 1980.[1] He finished his career with theWashington Federals of the USFL in 1983.
