Mikaela Jane Greig (born 22 April 1995) is a New Zealandcricketer who currently plays forCentral Districts.[1] She plays as a right-handedbatter and right-armoff-breakbowler.[2]

Domestic career

Greig made her debut forCentral Districts in the2013–14 New Zealand Women's Twenty20 Competition, againstAuckland.[3][4][5] In the2015–16 New Zealand Women's One-Day Competition, in a match againstCanterbury, she took 7/56 from her 9 overs, helping Central Districts to win by 6 runs.[6]

In 2019, she was appointed as captain of Central Districts in 2018/19 domestic season.[7] She also played against senior men's team, which included semi-professional domestic contract.[8]

In2018–19 Hallyburton Johnstone Shield, she took her another five-wicket haul againstOtago. She took 5/15, from her 4 overs, helping Central Districts to win by 247 runs.[9] In the2023–24 Hallyburton Johnstone Shield, she scored 232 runs from four games with an average of 77.33.[10]

International career

In March 2024, Greig earned her first call-up to theNew Zealand squad in February 2024 for the T20I seriesagainst England.[11][12][13] She made her international debut inTwenty20 International (T20I) againstEngland on 19 March 2024.[14][15] In March 2024, she named in New Zealand A squad against England A.[16] In April 2024, she was added to ODI squad as an extra cover for the series against England.[17][18] In June 2024, she was named in ODI and T20I squad for the seriesagainst England.[19][20]
