Mid Dunbartonshire is aconstituency of theHouse of Commons in theUK Parliament.[2] Further to the completion of the2023 review of Westminster constituencies, it was first contested at the2024 general election, when it was won bySusan Murray of theLiberal Democrats.

The constituency comprises the following wards of theEast Dunbartonshire council area:[3][4]

It covers virtually all of the formerEast Dunbartonshire constituency, together with a small part of theCumbernauld, Kilsyth and Kirkintilloch East constituency (renamedCumbernauld and Kirkintilloch), includingLennoxtown andMilton of Campsie.[5]

Constituency profile

Electoral Calculus characterises the seat as "Strong Left", with left-wing economic and socially liberal views, high levels of university education and an internationalist outlook including strong opposition toBrexit.[6]
