Michelle McDonald (born February 1, 1964) is a Canadian former competitiveice dancer. WithMartin Smith, she is the 1991Canadian national champion. WithMark Mitchell, she is the1989 Skate Canada International silver medalist and a two-time national silver medalist. In total, she competed at three World Championships, achieving her best result (9th) in1990.
McDonald won the 1983 Canadian national junior title with Patrick Mandley. They finished 7th at the 1983Nebelhorn Trophy and 9th at the1984 Skate Canada International.
WithMichael Farrington, she won bronze at the 1986Nebelhorn Trophy and placed sixth at the1986 Skate Canada International.
Her next partner wasMark Mitchell. The two placed sixth at the1988 Skate America, won silver at the 1989Canadian Championships, and finished 11th at the1989 World Championships inParis. The following season, they won silver at the1989 Skate Canada International, repeated as national silver medalists, and placed 9th at the1990 World Championships inHalifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. They parted ways after the1990 Goodwill Games, where they finished fifth.
McDonald competed the next two seasons withMartin Smith. They won the 1991 Canadian national title and finished 16th at the1991 World Championships inMunich, Germany. They dropped to third at the 1992 Canadian Championships and were not included in Canada's team to the1992 Winter Olympics.
