Michelle Cuevas is an Americanchildren's book author. Her first novel, A UglyPainting Elephant[1] was published byFarrar Straus and Giroux[2] in 2011. The book has been translated intoGerman,[3]Hebrew,Thai andChinese.[4] Her next two books,The Uncorker of Ocean Bottles andThe Ornithologist's Dream will be released byPenguin Books[5] in 2013. She would then writeConfessions of an Imaginary Friend: A Memoir by Jacques Papier for Rocky Pond Books in 2017, which was going to be adapted bySteve Martino forBlue Sky Studios.
On November 22, 2021, it was announced that the adaptation ofConfessions of an Imaginary Friend was revived atDisney Television Animation as part of the promotion of former Blue Sky Studios development CEO Lisa Fragner at DTVA, the film will release as aDisney+ original film.[6][7][8]
