Michelle Couttolenc is a Mexicansound engineer.[1][2][3] She won anAcademy Award in the categoryBest Sound and theBAFTA Award for Best Sound[4] for the filmSound of Metal.[5][6] Along with fellow nomineesJaime Baksht andCarlos Cortés Navarrete, she became the first Mexican sound engineer who won an Academy Award and the first Mexican woman sound engineer to ever be nominated.[7] She is also the recipient of sevenAriel Awards for Best Sound.[8][9]
