Michael Ryan is a comic book artist who has worked forMarvel Comics.[1] In 2004, Marvel Comics signed a three-year contract with Ryan, whose first work wasNew X-Men: Academy X withNunzio DeFilippis andChristina Weir. Marvel's editor-in-chief,Joe Quesada, later said, "We don't want him anywhere else but here!"[1]

Ryan had a brief tenure on Marvel's award-winning seriesRunaways with the writerJoss Whedon.[2] He and Sara Pichelli pencilledX-Men: Manifest Destiny #5 in 2008.[3] He also briefly drew theMystique mini-series, as well as theNew Excalibur series with the writerChris Claremont.

His latest work has been withAspen Comics.[4]
