Michael Lameck, known asAta (born 15 September 1949) is a German former professional footballer who played as aleft-back orsweeper.[1]
Lameck started his career during theRegionalliga West 1969–70 season withSchwarz-Weiß Essen. During his time inBochum from 1972 until 1988, he played a total of 518 matches in theBundesliga, and is thereby the record holder for most matches played for theRuhr Valley team while being ninth on the all-time Bundesliga list for matches played. Additionally, he holds the distinction of having played the most matches in Bundesliga history without ever receiving a cap for national duty.
