Mia Ikumi (Japanese:征海美亜,Hepburn:Ikumi Mia; March 27, 1979 – March 7, 2022) was a Japanesemanga artist best known for being the illustrator ofTokyo Mew Mew, amanga series she created withReiko Yoshida. Her first manga storyThe Sleeping Princess of Berry Forest was written when she was just 18 years old.

Ikumi was diagnosed with asubarachnoid hemorrhage in February 2021, and died on March 7, 2022, from aheart failure brought by the hemorrhage.[1]
