Mexedrone (also known as4-MMC-MeO) is astimulant and anentactogendrug of thecathinoneclass that has been sold online as adesigner drug.[1][2][3][4] It is the alpha-methoxyderivative ofMephedrone.

Pharmacology

Mexedrone acts as a weakserotonin–norepinephrine–dopamine reuptake inhibitor (SNDRI) withIC50 values of 5,289 nM, 8,869 nM, and 6,844 nM, respectively, as well as a weakserotonin releasing agent (SRA) with anEC50 value of 2,525 nM.[5]

Legal status

Mexedrone is illegal in Sweden as of January 26, 2016[6] as well as Japan as of August 24, 2016.[7]
