Methylenedioxybutylamphetamine (MDBU or3,4-methylenedioxy-N-butylamphetamine) is a lesser-knowndrug.[1] It is also theN-butyl derivative of3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA).[1] MDBU was first synthesized byAlexander Shulgin.[1] In his bookPiHKAL, the minimum dose is listed as 40 mg, and the duration unknown.[1] MDBU produces few to no effects.[1] Very little data exists about the pharmacological properties, metabolism, and toxicity of MDBU.[1]
