Methyldienolone (developmental code nameRU-3467), also known as17α-methyl-19-nor-δ9-testosterone, as well as17α-methylestra-4,9-dien-17β-ol-3-one, is asynthetic,orally activeanabolic-androgenic steroid (AAS) and a17α-alkylatedderivative of19-nortestosterone. It is closely related todienolone andethyldienolone.
Methyldienolone is on theWorld Anti-Doping Agency's list of prohibited substances,[1][2] and is therefore banned from use in most major sports.
