Mesacanthidae is a family of fish that existed during theDevonian in Northwestern Europe.[1] It is part of the orderAcanthodiformes, and includes the genera ofMesacanthus,Lodeacanthus,Melanacanthus,Teneracanthus, andPromesacanthus.[2][3]
