Meru is a town inKlang District,Selangor,Malaysia. It is located less than 10 km from the heart of Klang; reaching Meru takes a 45-minute drive fromKuala Lumpur via theNew Klang Valley Expressway and a 15-minute drive fromKlang viaJalan Meru.
Meru is home to numerous small-medium industrial complexes, including the nation's largest producer of latex gloves, Top Glove.
This town is currently losing its prominence, especially theKlang Parade as there are newer towns inKlang. One location that is currently very popular isBandar Bukit Tinggi, a new and modern town area in the south ofKlang. Because of that, Klang Parade is struggling to get customers.
However, due to the recent property developments at nearby areas such asSetia Alam (part ofShah Alam),Klang Sentral andBandar Bukit Raja, Meru is all set to see a raise in traffic volume.
