Menzies is a locality in the Australian state ofSouth Australia located onKangaroo Island about 136 kilometres (85 miles) south-west of the state capital ofAdelaide and about 19 kilometres (12 miles) west of the municipal seat ofKingscote.[2][7]
Its boundaries were created in May 2002 for the “long established name” which was derived from thecadastral unit of theHundred of Menzies.[2]
The principal land use in the locality is primary production.[9][2]
Menzies is located within the federaldivision of Mayo, the stateelectoral district of Mawson and the local government area of theKangaroo Island Council.[4][3][2]
