Menlo Park station is aCaltrain station located inMenlo Park, California. The station was originally built in 1867 by theSan Francisco and San Jose Railroad and acquired by theSouthern Pacific Railroad. During the 1890s, Southern Pacific added Victorian ornamentation to the depot to make it appear more attractive to students and visitors toStanford University. The station was added to theNational Register of Historic Places in 1974,[3] and became aCalifornia Historical Landmark in 1983.[4]
