Sarah Melanie Jean Kilburn is an English actress, known for portraying the role ofLaura Bryant in theITV police drama seriesThe Bill.[1] She also played the part of Sandra Conway, wife of CI Derek Conway in earlier episodes of The Bill. Her career began in 1983 when she starred as Maureen inThe Company Car. She was in an episode ofCasualty in 1990 (series 5).[1] She playedEve Elliott inCoronation Street in 2001.[1]
Kilburn rose to prominence as Jill in three series of the BBC'sMaking Out,[1] and as Carol Anderson inSoldier Soldier.[1]
Kilburn also starred as Sandra inWhere the Heart Is throughout 1999,[1] and played the regular role of Liz inPeak Practice during the series which aired in 2000.[1]
In 2017, she starred as inGod's own Country, alongsideJosh O'Connor andIan Hart.[2] In 2019, Kilburn started in an episode ofBrassic.[2] In 2020, she started in the reboot ofAll Creatures Great and Small.[2]
From 2017 to 2018, and again since 2022, Kilburn has appeared asReverend Irene Mills in theBBC soap operaEastEnders.[3] In 2021, she appeared in an episode of the BBC soap operaDoctors asMavis Gregg.[4]
