Themedian thyrohyoid ligament (alsomiddle hyothyroid ligament ormiddle thyrohyoid ligament) is the thicker, middle part of thethyrohyoid membrane. Its lateral thinner portions are pierced by the superior laryngeal vessels and the internal branch of thesuperior laryngeal nerve. Its anterior surface is in relation with thethyrohyoideus,sternohyoideus, andomohyoideus muscles, and with the body of thehyoid bone.
