Maycon de Andrade Barberan (born 15 July 1997), known as justMaycon, is a Brazilianfootballer who plays asmidfielder forCampeonato Brasileiro Série A clubAtlético Mineiro.
Maycon began playing forCorinthians academy at the age of twelve and had a very successful campaign. He won the 2014 and 2015 U20 Campeonato Paulista, 2014U20 Campeonato Brasileiro, the 2015Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, including scoring the winning goal during the final.[1]
Maycon made his professional debut on 11 February 2016, as he started on Corinthians 2–1 victory againstCapivariano atArena Corinthians.[2] He scored his first goal in a 3–0 away win againstBotafogo-SP on March 13.[3]
On 14 July, Maycon was loaned to fellow Série A clubPonte Preta.[4]
On 17 June 2018 Maycon was transferred toUkrainian Premier League clubShakhtar Donetsk and signed 5-year contract.[5]
On 31 March 2022, Shakhtar Donetsk confirmed that Maycon had joinedCorinthians on loan until the end of 2022.[6] The loan went through three extensions and he remained with Corinthians until December 2025, captaining the side to the2025 Copa do Brasil title.
On 8 January 2026,Atlético Mineiro announced an agreement in principle to sign Maycon.[7] Five days later, the deal was confirmed and he signed a three-year contract.[8]
