Mavelikkara Krishnankutty Nair (11 October 1920 – 13 January 1988) was aCarnaticMridangam player. He received his training from Alleppey Venkappan Pillai and Veechur Krishna Iyer. He consideredPalani Subramaniam Pillai as his 'Manasa Guru'. He received thePadma Shri from thePresident of India.[1] He received theKerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award in 1971 and theKerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Fellowship in 1980.[2][3] Krishnankutty Nair was also an artiste forAll India Radio inTrivandrum.[4]
