Mattis Hætta (15 March 1959 – 9 November 2022)[1] was aSami singer and recording artist from Norway.

In 1980, he andSverre Kjelsberg won the 1980Melodi Grand Prix with the entry "Sámiid ædnan" and went on to representNorway in theEurovision Song Contest 1980.[2]

He worked inpantomimes andyoiks inAlta,Kautokeino andLuleå.

Hætta died following a period of illness on 9 November 2022 at the age of 63.
