Matthew Sussman, also known asNathan Price, is an American actor, photographer and documentary filmmaker.
Sussman graduated fromBrown University and was trained at theYale School of Drama.
Sussman has appeared in numerous films, includingKate & Leopold andPollock, in which he played the artistReuben Kadish. Sussman also appeared in three episodes ofThe Sopranos in 2000 and 2002 asDr. Douglas Schreck. Other films includeJohn Turturro'sMac andIlluminata. His television work includes appearances inSex and the City,Law & Order, and the short-livedPeter Berg seriesWonderland.
On the New York stage Sussman appeared in MCC Theater's premiere ofTim Blake Nelson'sThe Grey Zone, directed byDoug Hughes. He was also a member of the original Broadway company ofAngels in America, and the U.S. premiere ofShopping and Fucking withPhilip Seymour Hoffman andJustin Theroux. He also had major roles at theSeattle Repertory Theatre, Portland Stage, andSteppenwolf Theater in Chicago.
He worked as avoice actor on manyanime dubs, primarily for4Kids Entertainment. He was the original voice of Meowth in “Pokémon” as well as creating the voice of Slowking in “Pokémon the Movie.” He also voiced Gravos and King Moros inSlayers Next.
In 2007, he directed the documentary feature filmWho is Norman Lloyd, which premiered at the 2007Telluride Film Festival followed by a run at New York'sFilm Forum.[1] He was the associate producer and narrator ofWorld Wedding, onTLC andDiscovery International.
Sussman was until recently[when?] also the Senior Director, Digital Presence, at The New School in New York working in Marketing and Communication.
