Matthew Herbert Dorsett (born August 23, 1973) is an American former professionalfootball player who was acornerback for theGreen Bay Packers of theNational Football League (NFL). Dorsett signed as afree agent with the Packers. Dorsett was highly touted for hisbump and run coverage abilities. Dorsett garnered the nickname "Baby Time" for his tenacious bump and run coverage.

Dorsett playedcollege football for theSouthern Jaguars. In the 1994Heritage Bowl, he returned a fumble 12 yards for the game's only touchdown, leading the Jaguars to an 11–0 win overSouth Carolina State.[1]

Dorsett signed with the Green Bay Packers as anundrafted free agent in 1995, recording 10 special team tackles in 10 games as a rookie.[2] He interceptedBrett Favre, the reigningNFL Most Valuable Player, while playing with the second-team defense in an intrasquad scrimmage in 1996.[3] However, he spent the entire 1996 season on theinjured reserve list after tearing hisanterior cruciate ligament in the preseason against thePittsburgh Steelers.[2][4] Dorsett was released on July 18, 1997.[2] Dorsett signed with theKansas City Chiefs in April 1998.[5] He was later released on August 25.[6] Dorsett signed with theNashville Kats of theArena Football League in June 1999.[7] After just two days of practice, he recorded a team-record 14 tackles, along with four passes defended, in his team debut against theArizona Rattlers.[7]
