TheMatilda Way is anAustralian road route fromBourke,New South Wales toKarumba inQueensland. It has been designated by theQueensland Government as aState Strategic Touring Route.[1]

The route

The New South Wales section is from Bourke toBarringun, on the Queensland side of the state border, via theMitchell Highway.The route in Queensland is via the Mitchell Highway toAugathella, and then as follows:
