Mathias Stein (born 21 February 1970) is a German politician of theSocial Democratic Party (SPD) who has been serving as a member of theBundestag from the state ofSchleswig-Holstein since 2017.[1]
Stein first became a member of the Bundestag in the2017 German federal election.[2] In parliament, he is a member of the Committee on Transport and Digital Infrastructure.[3] He is his parliamentary group’srapporteur on cycling.[4]
Within his parliamentary group, Stein belongs to theParliamentary Left, a left-wing movement.[5]
In July 2024, Stein announced, that he isn't seeking re-election for Bundestag.[6]
