Matthew Dallow (born 27 January 1972) is a New Zealandbobsledder. He competed in thetwo man event at the2006 Winter Olympics.[1]
He turned to bobsleigh after successive injuries forced him to give up his career in thedecathlon and inrugby. Prior to bobsleigh, he was anAll-American decathlete for theArizona Wildcats track and field team, placing 7th at the1993 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships. He was an All-American two years afterRené Schmidheiny, another Arizona decathlete who transitioned to Olympic bobsled.[2] Injury also prevented him at the last minute from competing in the 2002 Olympics.[3][4]
Dallow is the son ofRoss Dallow and the younger brother of New Zealand television news anchorSimon Dallow.[5]
