Malaysian electoral constituency
Mata Ayer is a state constituency inPerlis,Malaysia, that has been represented in thePerlis State Legislative Assembly from 1959 to 1974 and from 1995 to present.
The state constituency was first contested in 1959 and is mandated to return a single Assemblyman to thePerlis State Legislative Assembly under thefirst-past-the-post voting system. Since 2022[update], the State Assemblywoman for Mata Ayer isWan Badariah Wan Saad fromPerikatan Nasional (PN).
According to the federal gazette issued on 31 October 2022, the Maya Ayer constituency is divided into 3 polling districts.[2]
