Massanes (Catalan pronunciation:[məˈsanəs]), also calledMaçanes ("apple grove",lit. 'apples'), is amunicipality of theprovince of Girona, in thecomarca of theSelva inCatalonia, Spain. It is situated on the left bank of theTordera river. Local roads link the town with the A-7autopista, the C-251 road and theRenfe railway station shared withMaçanet de la Selva.
