Massachusetts Senate's 1st Essex and Middlesex district in the United States is one of 40legislative districts of theMassachusetts Senate.[1] It covers 17.8% ofEssex County and 2.5% ofMiddlesex County population.[2][3]RepublicanBruce Tarr of Gloucester has represented the district since 1995.[4]
