Major General Masoud Monfared Niyaki orMonfared Niaki (1929–1985) (Persian:مسعود منفرد نیاکی) was an Iranian military officer. He studied in theOfficers' School, specializing inarmored warfare. Niyaki received the rank of colonel in 1976. He was active during theIran–Iraq war, includingOperation Tariq al-Qods,Operation Fath ol-Mobin,Operation Beit ol-Moqaddas,Operation Dawn, andOperation Ramadan. He was the commander of the92nd Armored Division and the88th Armored Division.[1][2]He was killed during awar game conducted by58th Zolfaghar Takavar Division.
