Maryfield (2016 population:348) is a village in theCanadian province ofSaskatchewan within theRural Municipality of Maryfield No. 91 andCensus Division No. 1. The village lies south of the intersection ofHighway 48[5] andHighway 600 and is about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) west of theManitoba border. It is a junction point on theCanadian National Railway between the main line heading northwest towardsRegina and a branch line heading southwest towardCarlyle andLampman.
Maryfield incorporated as a village on August 21, 1907.[6]
In the2021 Census of Population conducted byStatistics Canada, Maryfield had a population of311 living in130 of its157 total private dwellings, a change of-10.6% from its 2016 population of348. With a land area of 2.57 km2 (0.99 sq mi), it had a population density of121.0/km2 (313.4/sq mi) in 2021.[9]
In the2016 Census of Population, the Village of Maryfield recorded a population of348 living in139 of its178 total private dwellings, a-4.9% change from its 2011 population of365. With a land area of 2.69 km2 (1.04 sq mi), it had a population density of129.4/km2 (335.1/sq mi) in 2016.[10]
