American jazz musician

Mary Ann McCall (May 4, 1919 inPhiladelphia,Pennsylvania, United States[1] – December 14, 1994 inLos Angeles,California)[2] was an Americanpop andjazz singer. Aside from solo work, she sang forCharlie Barnet,Tommy Dorsey,Artie Shaw andWoody Herman.[1] She was briefly married toAl Cohn.[1] In 1949, she won theDown Beat Readers' Poll for "Girl Singer (With Band)".[3]
