Marvdasht County (Persian :شهرستان مرودشت ) is inFars province, Iran. Its capital is the city ofMarvdasht .[ 3]
After the 2006 National Census, the village of Kushkak rose to city status asRamjerd .[ 4] Kamfiruz-e Shomali Rural District was separated fromKamfiruz District in the formation ofKor District ,[ a] which was divided into two rural districts, including the newGarmeh Rural District .[ 6]
After the 2011 census, the village ofKhaniman was elevated to the status of a city.[ 7] After the 2016 census, the villages ofFaruq ,[ 8] Fathabad ,[ 9] andZangiabad [ 10] became cities.
At the time of the 2006 census, the county's population was 294,621 in 69,244 households.[ 11] The following census in 2011 counted 307,492 people in 83,641 households.[ 12] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 323,434 in 94,699 households.[ 2]
