Marta Hazas Cuesta was born inSantander on 31 December 1977.[1][2] She earned a degree inInformation Sciences, and she also took artistic training in Spanish dance anddrama.[3]

She is a Spanish actress who has acted sporadically in shows likeAída,Los hombres de Paco,Cuéntame cómo pasó,Paco y Veva,Hospital Central,El comisario andLos Serrano. She had a breakthrough role on the small screen with her performance as Amelia Ugarte in the seriesEl internado.[4] She also featured inGran Hotel withYon González,Amaia Salamanca andEloy Azorín, among others.[5][6] She starred as lead in the daily television seriesBandolera.[7] Most recently she played a main role during four seasons in the series ofAntena 3Velvet withCecilia Freire,Javier Rey,Paula Echevarría andAdrián Lastra.[8] Also, she co-starred the filmFriends Till Death (2023).[9] She collaborated inEl hormiguero.[10][11]

She has aWest Highland Terrier dog since 2011 named Robin,[12] named afterRobin Wright.[13] She married actor Javier Veiga on 1 October 2016 atPalacio de la Magdalena in Santander.[14] The wedding was attended byPaula Echevarría andCecilia Freire.[15][16]
