Marlowe Wax (born December 13, 2002) is an American professionalfootballlinebacker for theLos Angeles Chargers of theNational Football League (NFL). He playedcollege football for theSyracuse Orange.
Wax attendedMount Saint Joseph High School inBaltimore, Maryland. He was rated as a three-star recruit and committed to playcollege football for theSyracuse Orange over other offers from schools such as Pittsburgh, Kent State, East Carolina, Marshall, Toledo, and Temple.[1]
As afreshman in 2020, Wax tallied 33 tackles with five and a half being for a loss, and three sacks in 11 games.[2] In 2021, he totaled 60 tackles with nine going for a loss, five sacks, and a forced fumble.[3] In week 11 of the 2022 season, Wax notched 14 tackles in a 19-9 loss toPittsburgh.[4] During the 2022 season, he recorded 91 tackles with 10.5 going for a loss, four and a half sacks, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries,[5] earning all-ACC honorable mention.[6] In 2023, Wax notched 110 tackles with 11.5 being for a loss, four sacks, and four forced fumbles, earning second-team all-ACC honors.[7] In the 2024 season opener, he recorded six tackles, a sack, and a forced fumbles in a win overOhio.[8] In week 11, Wax recorded nine tackles a sack and a half, and the game-sealing forced fumble in a victory versusVirginia Tech.[9] During the 2024 season, he played in just eight games due to injury and finished with 44 tackles.[10] After the season, Wax declared for the2025 NFL draft.[11]

After not being selected in the2025 NFL draft, Wax signed with theLos Angeles Chargers as anundrafted free agent.[14] Wax made the team's initial 53-man roster following the 2025 preseason.[15]
