Markus Alexander Uhl (born 31 August 1979) is a German politician of theChristian Democratic Union (CDU) who has been serving as a member of theBundestag from the state ofSaarland since 2017.
Born inCologne,North Rhine-Westphalia, Uhl studiedbusiness economics at theSaarland University.
Uhl becamemember of the Bundestag forHomburg in the2017 German federal election.[1] He is a member of the Committee on Transport and Digital Infrastructure and the Budget Committee.[2] In this capacity, he serves as his parliamentary group'srapporteur on the annual budget of theFederal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection.
In addition to his committee assignments, Uhl has been a member of the German delegation to theFranco-German Parliamentary Assembly since 2019.
In2021, he wasdefeated for re-election byEsra Limbacher, but returned to Parliament on the list after the resignation ofPeter Altmaier.
