Mark Stone (born June 17, 1957) is an Americanlawyer andpolitician who served in theCalifornia State Assembly. He is aDemocrat who represented the29th Assembly District, which encompassed parts of the northernCentral Coast.

Prior to being elected to the Assembly in 2012, he was aSanta Cruz CountySupervisor and served on theScotts ValleySchool Board prior to that.

In 2009, he successfully swam theEnglish Channel.[1][2]
