Marita Sandig (laterGasch, born 4 April 1958) is a German rower who won a gold medal in theeights at the 1980 Summer Olympics.[1][2] She won four world championships from 1977 to 1983, three withSilvia Fröhlich, and came in second twice.[3] She was married toUwe Gasch, another retired Olympian rower.[1][4]
