Maripur orMauripur (Urdu:ماری پور) is aPakistani village to the west ofKarachi,[1] nearHawke's Bay Beach.
TheTown Municipal CommitteeMauripur (TMC Mauripur) is a local government body in Karachi, Pakistan, responsible for providing municipal services within its designated jurisdiction. It is one of the 26 Town Municipal Corporations established in Karachi under the Sindh Local Government Act, 2021.[2][3]
The creation of the Town Municipal Committee Mauripur is part of a restructuring of Karachi's local government system. The Sindh government replaced the previous seven District Municipal Corporations (DMCs) with 26 towns, each with its own municipal committee. Mauripur Town is one of three towns located within theKeamari District, alongsideBaldia Town andMoriro Mirbahar Town.[2][3]
PAF Base Masroor (ICAO:OPMR) is the largest airbase operated by thePakistan Air Force. It is located in theMauripur area of Karachi, in theSindh province. The base was originally known as RPAF Station Mauripur and after 1956, as PAF Station Mauripur. It is of immense strategic importance considering it has been entrusted with the task of defending the coastal and Southern region of Pakistan. It houses the 32 Tactical Attack (TA) Wing which comprises four separate squadrons.

Ostaad Abdul Ghani Baloch Musical Academy has been running since 1992, located in Mauripur Village, a town, which is located on Hawkesbay Road. The academy was established by Ostaad Abdul Ghani Baloch, who can sing in Balochi, Sindhi, Urdu, Hindi and Saraiki. He teaches students about music and singing. He is a respected person in the area. He is a popular person too in his area. He has many students who have been singing in different areas in Karachi and Balochistan. Ostaad Abdul Ghani Baloch has been taught by Ostaad Mir Ahmed Baloch, who was very famous singer and music director.
