Marinci is avillage in theNuštar municipality in theVukovar-Syrmia County in easternCroatia located northeast ofVinkovci and southwest ofVukovar. The population is 670 (census 2011).[3]

The village is located on the county road Ž4137 Nuštar-Bogdanovci-Vukovar[4] and its position was strategically important during the 1991Battle of Vukovar.[5][6]

Marinci were built on the foundations of an olderRoman settlement. ACatholic church of theImmaculate Conception of the BlessedVirgin Mary was built in the center of the village in 1855, demolished in 1992 and rebuilt in 2005.[7]
