Marilyn Agliotti (born 23 June 1979 inBoksburg,South Africa) is afield hockey player from theNetherlands,[1] having previously representedSouth Africa in the sport.[2] After her move to the Netherlands and award of a Dutch passport, she represented theDutch national team.
She was selected for the2007 European Championships inManchester where the Dutch won the silver medal. They won the bronze medal at the2008Champions Trophy inMönchengladbach. She was a member of the Dutch team that qualified for the2008 Summer Olympics inBeijing, and won thegold medal in women's field hockey tournament.[1] She was also a member of the Dutch team that won thegold medal at the2012 Summer Olympics.[3]
Agliotti ended her international career in November 2012 but continued to train with local team Oranje Zwart.[4] Tribute was given to her at the 2013 Rabobank Hockey World League championships.[4]
