2025 Dream Star Fighting Marigold event
Marigold First Dream 2025 was aprofessional wrestling event promoted byDream Star Fighting Marigold. It took place on January 3, 2025, inTokyo,Japan at theOta City General Gymnasium.[2] The event aired globally on CyberFight'svideo-on-demand serviceWrestle Universe.[3][4]
The show featuredprofessional wrestling matches that result from scriptedstorylines, where wrestlers portrayedvillains,heroes, orless distinguishable characters in the scripted events that built tension and culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches.[5]
The event started withYuki Mashiro last eliminating Minami Yuuki to win theNew Year's Dream Rumble match. After the bout concluded, Mashiro laid a challenge for theMarigold Super Fly Championship. Next up,Mirai defeatedSeri Yamaoka in the latter's in-ring debut match. The third bout sawVictoria Yuzuki defeatingNatsumi Showzuki to win theMarigold Super Fly Championship, ending the latter's reign at 174 days and three defenses. Next up,Bozilla and Tank defeated Dark Wolf Army (Nagisa Nozaki andChiaki) to win theMarigold Twin Star Championship, ending the latter team's reign at 21 days and one successful defense. The fifth bout sawNanae Takahashi andNao Ishikawa picking up a victory overMeiko Satomura and Yuna in tag team competition. In the sixth bout,Kouki Amarei defeatedChika Goto to secure the first successful defense of theGHC Women's Championship in that respective reign. In the semi main event,Mai Sakurai defeatedMiku Aono to win theMarigold United National Championship, ending the latter's reign at 174 days and three defenses.[6]
In the main event,2024 Dream Star Grand Prix winnerUtami Hayashishita defeatedSareee to win theMarigold World Championship, ending the latter's reign at 174 days and two defenses. After the bout concluded, Tank laid a challenge to Hayashishita's title on further notice.[7][8][9]
